A couple of months ago a thread started over at the stash and burn groupies boards on Ravelry. The thread was originally about “going cold sheep for a year” meaning, a full year of yarn dieting. This coincided with me realising that my yarn chest (an old seaman’s chest) was unable to close due to [...] Stashbusting! After actually putting 99% of my stash into ravelry I felt an extreme need to use some of it and get it out of the calculations… Thus the sari silk rug was born Note: project looks a lot better IRL, especially in sunlight. Unfortunately, the camera can’t capture it :/ but it actually looks good. promise. Because [...] I don’t even want to think about knitting anything that touches my lap at the moment, small projects it is! Especially considering the heatwave that struck scandinavia a couple of weeks ago… My First Baby Surprise Jacket by Elizabeth Zimmerman. Possibly being knit too small by me as I’m using 3.5mm needles :/ Thinking about [...] I’m still knitting up my pre-vegan stash (pregan? stash). This time it’s leftovers from the worlds ugliest afghan. A friend wanted a slouchy hat and offered to buy the yarn to make it. But after a little stashdive that she did (I just dragged all of it out into the kitchen and asked her to enjoy [...] It’s the last day of january today, it seems like a good time to make this years resolutions regarding knitting, and especially one aspect of it has been on my mind the last couple of days.
