Swatching

Sometimes, I actually do it. Promise.
This time it’s not actually to check gauge, but to see what colour should be the contrast colour, and which should be the main one on the Selbu Modern I’m about to make.

So what I did was to cast on two repeats and on my 3mm DPN’s knit in the round, one of the chart repeats in grey with green

And the other with green with grey.

I’m thinking that the last one is the best way to go. I like the look of that one better anyway. The biggest problem is that the hat isn’t for me and I don’t know how the recipient will feel about a neon green hat with grey flowers. Hopefully she will find it awesome whatever I do but one never knows…

    Love the color combo! And I like the second swatch better too :)

      the colour combo is really just leftovers from socks I knit… 4 years ago. But it’s good it’s not just me liking the second swatch best. It’s turning out to be a really bright hat though!
