Summer is for socks and BSJ

I don’t even want to think about knitting anything that touches my lap at the moment, small projects it is! Especially considering the heatwave that struck scandinavia a couple of weeks ago…

My First Baby Surprise Jacket by Elizabeth Zimmerman. Possibly being knit too small by me as I’m using 3.5mm needles :/ Thinking about knitting another one in a size bigger just because of that, and the fact that the pattern is easy and doesn’t involve a single purl stitch.

So, to counter the easy project I got a hard, involved and time-consuming one as well. The Herringbone Rib Socks. I’ve had to frog the leg of the first sock three times this far… all of it my fault for not reading the pattern trough well enough :( But I’m loving how they look so they actually have a chance of being finished. Eventually.

Oh, and I just realised that both projects are knit in Opal Sockyarn from deep within the stash… Not intentionally, which makes it even stranger for me.
