Geeky Crochet

There has been a discussion on Ravelry about geeky crafting, and this thing came up.
It’s advanced math, to such a degree that I cannot say that I really get it, just reading about it.
But I could make a model of the hyperbolic plane they talked about.
I think I need to give out some more links.
ScienceNews. Exploriatorium (scroll a little bit down). Discovermagazine.
Patterns for this task: Knit. Crochet (excelent page, and the pattern I used).
The pattern I used was actually very easy to understand, and even I find it fun to play with.
I only spent a couple of hours making it, so it’s small, about the size of a mandarin.
The yarn was leftovers from the Thermal (FO pics will come soon). And a 3mm crochet hook.
