Todays shopping

June 26th, 2006 by Cecilie | No Comments | Filed in Random

Realising that I had no sock yarn (not intended to any project) I bought some.

OpalRainforestZebra and Trekking110 from astridsdutchobsessions.com

The Zebra spoke to me, White with thinish black stropes in a zebra-ish pattern. Not all trough the row in other words.

A good reason to check the mail daily at least… can’t wait.

Geeky stuff

This is my website as a graph.
Or, if you prefer, a strange tropical flower. Made at aharef (pun most probably intended). Really cool, you have to try it.
I can at the same time give out some other geeky links, these are fiber related though.

  • Bunny Skulls reminding me of Donnie Darko. A must see.
  • Wooly Thoughts Knitting/Crochet patterns based on mathematical formulas, idea and patterns. As well as board games! genius!
  • Knitted Hyperbolic Space models, you can’t imagine it, but you can create it with sticks/a hook and yarn.
  • The Sockblocker keychain and itty-bitty socks to fit them.

Or, if you don’t want to bee geeky in a fiber way, Extortr is something to check out.

And they are making another season of Futurama! *dances like it’s 2999*

Remind me

June 10th, 2006 by Cecilie | 1 Comment | Filed in Random

Remind me why I’m going to work in 10 minutes.

Oh yes, that’s why, I need money.
(The fact that I need a good nigth of sleep isn’t as important. Or anything else it seems…)

The show must go on.

Me and Jaywalker are going down to the tram soon. Hopefully it will keep me from crying over the complete lack of rest that my body seems to feel.
Hopefully.

Oh, and if you do a google search for “Summer in kansas” the first hit is a lace shawl pattern.
Just as a beside note.

When I was five

My dad loves science and geeky stuff. Nathional geographic magazines and documentarys airing on tv.

And so do I. As I am related to him an all…. Discovery and Animal Planet are my two favorite tv channels (and almost all I watch of tv, truth to be told), and I’m a geek in so many other ways as well…
When I was five-eigth I loved dinosaurs, they were my obsession. Now it’s knitting though, and I found some patterns that satisfy both those things.

Dinosaure X-treme Knitting (you just have to look at them)

I’m going to get the yarn in a few days, that just looks like fun :P
